Gaither Vocal Band Brings the House Down in San Antonio

The Gaither Vocal Band's first live taping as a five-man team was a celebration of epic proportions!  Filmed on Tuesday night, July 21, at The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, the evening featured more than two dozen songs from Gaither Vocal Band's seemingly endless repertoire of favorites, as well as some fresh new songs that the group was excited to introduce!  The evening was further enhanced by special guests: The Isaacs, Jason Crabb, Gordon Mote with young, up-and-comer Christopher Phillips, plus a wonderful local church choir who joined in on several songs throughout the night.  The warm crowd of Texans added indescribable excitement with their welcoming enthusiasm, and we learned of a number of folks who came great distances to be present for this historic live event!

The Gaither.com camera captured photos of the Gaither Vocal Band and the Gaither production staff working hard behind the scenes (and maybe goofing off from time to time), seeing the sites around San Antonio, rehearsing, and we managed to include a few performance shots just to give you a little sneak peek at what took place inside the Majestic Theatre on this unforgettable night.  But nothing could possibly compare to watching and hearing song after song delivered with precision, heart and the kind of passion that can't be mustered up without fully believing the Message they represent.

The DVD of this Gaither Vocal Band taping in San Antonio is scheduled for release in January 2010.  Watch Gaither.com in late November or early December for the chance to put in your order.  This is one you will not want to miss!
