I know, I know. It's been over 4, COUNT 'EM..... FOUR months, since I updated this thing. Honestly I haven't had much to tell.
I've finally settled in from the BIG move from WEST to EAST coast; CANADA that is. The snow is FINALLY beginning to melt, and that truly is a blessing. Almost time to play in the mud
We'll be having a Homecoming Artist visit the Island during the Easter season, Larry Ford will be touring here. On Easter Sunday, he will be at a church 45 minutes from where I live. I'm "planning" on taking in that service. It's not written in stone yet, hence the quotations.
Hopefully, I'll have some new photos of the area to add in before next week. Ya'll pray the rain holds off for a couple of days, ok? My camera & I will be forever greatful.
UNTIL NEXT TIME........

27 years ago today, I was brought into this world by some (unknown to me) masked man. I still don't know who the person was. LOL. And mom being so out of it cause of the meds, I was held and called by my sisters name.
It's been interesting years, full of trial & error, failure & progress, sickness & health (mostly sickness when it comes to me personally), good times & bad. But nonetheless, they are MY years, and no one can take those away from me. So sometime in the future; if God grants me His grace to stay here until HE returns, I'll be writing somewhere else, adding another 27 (?) years.... Who knows, you may be reading it.
These are my ramblings !!!!! ENJOY

JUST BE PREPARED! IT'S A LONG READ !!!
Well, I'm sorry to say it all over and done. The cruise that is! And what a time. It was jam-packed with the best Southern Gospel music has to offer (my personal opinion). Some of the groups on the tour were; The Hoppers, Greater Vision, Legacy Five, The Kingsmen, Royalaires, Gold City, The Inspirations, The Florida Boys, Squire Parsons (soloist). I think I named them all. The comedic talent for the week was none other than Geraldine & Ricky (I don't think I posted pictures of them, but I'll get to it later). Oh and I can't forget Aaron Wilburn; he's a comedian too. Our wonderful Emcee and devotionalist for the week was the great Dr. Jerry Goff. Now, if you haven't heard this man ' teach / preach ', he's definately able to light a fire under some.
It was late Monday afternoon before we left Jacksonville. So much for the passengers to 'learn' in case of an emergency. But once we set sail, it was quite choppy. Basically because of the canals we were navagating before we actually made it out to sea. But it must have calmed down, sometime throughout the night, cause I drifted into a somewhat peaceful sleep. Nothing like getting "ROCKED" to sleep when you don't want it. *ugh*
Tuesday morning was the start of a new day *with very little rocking*.
We docked at Freeport, Bahamas. In order to do much there, you had to take a cab downtown. Well, let's just say I didn't do much at Freeport...got off the boat, did a little shopping, tried to take pictures & my camera wouldn't work. SO, I got back on the boat. Like I said, I didn't do much.
Wednesday morning, we docked at Nassau, Bahamas. There was so much to do. And yes, I did some shopping there too. LOL. That's where I got my braids. After that braid session of 90 minutes, I was more than a little tired, so back to the ship I went. Wandered around onboard for a while, caught some sun-rays on the pool deck and relaxed.
Thursday morning, we anchored off of Half Moon Cay. Because it's a private island, and the waters are so shallow, we had to travel by tender boats to the island. I thought I was gonna go back to the cabin when I saw what we were asked to do. Walk off the gangplank and unto a tender boat, that was 5 feet below you. Now, keep in mind, we were quite secure and the guys were helping everyone on board, but still !!! It was a very scary feeling. But once on the island, it was well worth it. My camera certainly got a workout, but because of the humidity of the island, they didn't turn out as well as I expected. ALL FOGGY !!! I spent some time on the beach, listening to music; Had a B-B-Q lunch prepared by the ships kitchen staff, and it was time for a 'Glass Bottom Boat' tour of the corals off the coast. There's a few pictures posted in the photo section. By the time we got back from the tour, back to the beach for me. I waded in the water and had fish swim around my feet (that was a cool experience), sat back in the sun again to dry off a little, and once again back to the ms Celebration for me. Once again, by the evening concerts, we were well under way to *rocking* again. Guess who spent some time alone in their cabin ?! Once the meds kicked in, I was back in the game and wanting all the music I could handle & more.
Friday was a 'sea-day' and yes, we rocked again. But it wasn't like the others. Just a subtle sway! LOL. The first concert was at 9:30 that morning, featuring Greater Vision. And yes, I was there. Devotions with Jerry Goff started at 10am (right after the GV concert). Lunch was served a little after that. And back to the concerts from 1:30 to 5:30. Dinner was served at 5:45pm and the next concert was at 8pm. Being the last night, it went a little later than any other night. It was almost midnight by the time it was all done with.
And Saturday morning we docked back in Jacksonville, FL. And that was the end of it all.... Until next year !!!!
